The Frank Cecere Memorial Fiesta will return to Ventosa Vineyards in Geneva from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, to raise money for scholarships at St. Francis-St. Stephen School.
Donation tickets cost $35 and include an Italian-style dinner buffet from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by live music from Night Train until 9:30 p.m. as part of the evening program. The event will also feature raffles and auctions, with winners announced at 8:30 p.m. during the event.
Organizers are seeking to raise $20,000 for the next school year. Donations are also being accepted for raffles, auctions, banners and sponsorship packages.
The memorial fundraiser began in 1999, when Lenny and Meg Cecere organized the first event to provide tuition assistance for local children whose families could not otherwise afford Catholic education. Organizers said the foundation has since donated more than $282,000 to the school and built an endowment exceeding $263,000, with nearly all donations directed to scholarships.
Online tickets are available at VentosaVineyards.com through Wednesday, Aug. 26. Tickets will be sold at the door after that deadline.
Groups may reserve a sponsored table for $350 for eight guests or $420 for 10 guests, with six of the larger tables available. Sponsorship questions can be sent to Khart15@rochester.rr.com.
