East Hill Medical Center marks National Health Center Week in Auburn

East Hill Medical Center is recognizing patients and employees during National Health Center Week as the Auburn nonprofit prepares to expand services at its Grant Avenue building next year.

The center said it serves more than 10,500 patients annually, including about one in four Auburn residents and one in nine Cayuga County residents. Its services include adult primary care, pediatrics, dental care, behavioral health and other support programs.

National Health Center Week continues through Aug. 8. East Hill plans to distribute appreciation gifts and thank-you cards to patients at each practice while holding employee appreciation events, staff recognition activities, team-building programs and an all-staff training day.

President and CEO April Miles credited employees with sustaining the center's work in the community. Communications Coordinator Brianna Muldrow said the observance recognizes both staff members and the patients they serve.

East Hill said its expansion project includes new spaces, additional services and improved access to care at 360 Grant Ave. The organization did not provide further project details in the release.

East Hill is a federally qualified health center that provides primary, behavioral and dental care to residents of Cayuga County and the surrounding region, regardless of age, insurance status or income level.
