An Ontario County man faces a DWI charge and multiple traffic offenses after deputies said he fled an attempted traffic stop at high speed Tuesday in the town of Richmond.
James P. Maloney Jr., 41, of Honeoye, was later found with his vehicle after it became disabled and was reported to 911, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Maloney was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree unlawful fleeing, reckless driving and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, deputies said.
He was also charged with failing to surrender a revoked license to the state Department of Motor Vehicles, driving without a license, driving left of pavement markings, speeding, failing to obey police traffic control and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Maloney was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date.
