Drivers should expect delays on state Route 31 in the town of Macedon as paving work reduces traffic to a single lane. The state Department of Transportation said the lane reduction in Wayne County is expected to continue through Friday, July 31.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers during the work.
The work is scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, according to the travel advisory.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays during those hours and use alternate routes when possible.
The transportation department also urged drivers to slow down and use caution in work zones.
Speeding fines are doubled in work zones, and multiple speeding violations in a work zone can result in a driver's license suspension, according to the advisory.
