Practice Time Sports opens registration for summer camp sessions through August

Parents looking for a fun, active way to keep their kids engaged this summer still have time to register for weekly camps at Practice Time Sports, where baseball, softball and sports-themed activities fill the schedule through August.

The Canandaigua indoor training facility has openings remaining in its weekly summer camp sessions, with morning, afternoon and full-day options available beginning the week of June 29 and continuing throughout July and August. Camps are designed for young athletes of varying skill levels and combine instruction with games and activities that keep campers active throughout the day.

Led by longtime instructor and Practice Time Sports owner Chris Harris, the Canandaigua facility has become one of the Finger Lakes’ premier destinations for year-round baseball and softball instruction. The summer camp program extends that mission by creating an environment where young athletes can build skills, gain confidence and enjoy being active with their peers.

Campers rotate through baseball and softball instruction while participating in sports-themed games and friendly competitions that emphasize teamwork, communication and sportsmanship. Coaches focus on teaching fundamentals in a positive atmosphere that encourages improvement without sacrificing fun.

The flexible scheduling allows families to choose the option that best fits their summer plans. Morning-only, afternoon-only and full-day sessions are offered each week, giving parents the ability to enroll children around vacations, family schedules and other activities.

Because the camps welcome athletes with a wide range of experience, participants don’t need extensive baseball or softball backgrounds to take part. Whether children are picking up a glove for the first time or preparing for their next season, the program is structured to help every camper continue developing while enjoying the experience.

Registration remains open for weekly sessions beginning in late June and continuing through August, although enrollment is limited to maintain smaller instructional groups. Families are encouraged to reserve spots early as camps continue to fill.

Practice Time Sports is located at 76 West Ave. in Canandaigua and offers year-round instruction, camps, clinics and training opportunities for baseball and softball players throughout the Finger Lakes region.
