Two people were treated after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Route 90 in Genoa, according to the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department.
Genoa Rescue, Southern Cayuga Instant Aid and mutual aid from the King Ferry Fire Department were dispatched by Cayuga County 911 at 8:40 a.m. for a reported truck and trailer crash on Route 90 between North Street and Indian Field Road.
Fire officials said crews arrived to find a two-vehicle collision with heavy damage at the intersection of Route 90 and Indian Field Road. Two patients had self-extricated.
A second ambulance was requested from Four Town Ambulance.
Engine 2 handled patient care for one driver and hazard stabilization, while King Ferry Rescue 1 handled patient care for the second driver. Squad 1 assisted with vehicle stabilization and hazards, according to the department.
The New York State Police and Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Genoa units were back in service by 10 a.m.
