Updates posted by Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire indicated first-arriving firefighters reported a working camper fire, prompting additional apparatus to respond. Crews quickly established a water supply and began attacking the fire.

Waterloo and Clyde tankers were among the units sent to assist before command reported the fire had been knocked down. The tanker task force was subsequently canceled.

Fire officials later reported the blaze was fully extinguished. No injuries were reported in information published by Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire, and the cause of the fire was not immediately available.
