Seneca Falls Historical Society to host suffrage-themed tea during Convention Days

A living-history tea exploring the origins of the women’s rights movement will bring two prominent historical figures to life during Convention Days weekend in Seneca Falls.

The Seneca Falls Historical Society will host “Taking Tea, Suffrage Style” on Sunday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at the historic Becker Mansion, located at 55 Cayuga St. Organizers say the program will feature Catherine Becker and Elizabeth Cady Stanton in an interactive discussion about the women’s rights movement that began in Seneca Falls.

The event will also include a surprise guest connected to the first Women’s Rights Convention, offering attendees an immersive look at one of the most significant moments in American history. The program is designed as a living-history experience and will take place in the mansion where Becker once lived.

Admission is $25 per person. Seating is limited to 30 guests and advance registration is required. The event is scheduled to run until 3:30 p.m.
