The president signed four bills Friday addressing federal spending disclosures, disaster tax relief, an emergency medical services memorial and land restrictions in Kentucky.
The Stop Secret Spending Act of 2025 expands federal spending transparency requirements to include other transaction agreements and modifies related reporting, oversight and disclosure standards.
Another measure, the Doug LaMalfa Federal Disaster Tax Relief Certainty Act, extends and codifies a federal tax deduction for qualified disaster-related personal casualty losses.
The disaster legislation also excludes qualified wildfire relief payments from gross income, making those forms of relief part of permanent federal tax law.
The National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Extension Act extends the authority of the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Foundation to establish a commemorative work on federal land in Washington, D.C.
The proposed memorial would recognize the commitment and service of emergency medical services personnel.
The fourth bill directs the Interior Department to remove all deed restrictions from an approximately 3.62-acre parcel previously conveyed to the city of Paducah, Kentucky.
The White House identified the measures as H.R. 1276, H.R. 2069, H.R. 2196 and H.R. 5366.
