A retail theft investigation in Waterloo resulted in a felony charge against a village resident, according to police.
Tiffany Deloatch, of Waterloo, was arrested June 8 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Police said the charge stems from an investigation that determined Deloatch stole and distributed more than $1,000 worth of merchandise while employed at a retail store in the village.
Authorities said the investigation uncovered the alleged theft of merchandise valued at more than $1,000, meeting the threshold for the felony charge.
Deloatch was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
