The victim was transported to a regional trauma center and was reported to be in stable condition, according to police. Investigators said the suspect had already left the scene before officers arrived.

Police said it is believed the victim and suspect knew each other, and investigators do not believe the incident was a random act of violence. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
