Bath woman charged after order of protection violation

A report of a trespassing incident in the village of Bath led to charges against a local woman accused of violating a stay-away order of protection.

Angel Jackson, 27, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, both Class A misdemeanors, following an investigation by the Bath Police Department.

Officers responded to an East William Street residence on June 1 after receiving a complaint that a protected party’s order of protection had been violated.

Police said Jackson was found inside the residence when officers arrived. She was suffering from injuries and was initially turned over to medical personnel.

After being released from the hospital on June 2, Jackson was located at the Finger Lakes Inn and Suites on West Morris Street, arrested, and processed on the charges. She was later transported to the Steuben County Jail, where police said she was being held on bail.
