A Hornell man was taken into custody on a Bath Police Department warrant and charged with failing to comply with New York’s sex offender registration requirements.
Thomas Weinman, 43, was arrested June 3 after the Hornell Police Department notified Bath officers that he was in custody on the warrant. He was charged with failure to register as a sex offender, second offense, a Class D felony.
Police said Weinman moved from a previous address in the village of Bath and failed to register his new address in Hornell within the required timeframe.
Weinman was processed and arraigned in Bath Village Court before being remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. Police said he has six prior felony convictions.
