A $60 million health campus drew fresh scrutiny from Auburn neighbors this week, according to The Citizen, as developers tried to ease concerns over traffic, lighting and the building’s size.
Auburn Community Hospital wants to replace the building at 143 North St. with a three-story, 80,000-square-foot facility for orthopedics, endocrinology, neuroscience, imaging, cardiology and primary care. Developers said the site would include 202 parking spaces, more than 700 plantings, stormwater controls and dark-sky lighting.
The Auburn Planning Board voted to lead the environmental review, moving the project forward. The board meets again July 7.
