Destiny USA’s future faces renewed scrutiny after new financial details revealed more than $700 million in debt, according to CNY Central. The Syracuse shopping and entertainment complex’s owner, Pyramid Management Group, reportedly carries $714 million in debt while the mall generated $421 million in sales during 2025.

The figures come after reports that Pyramid missed a deal involving a $70 million payment. While the mall remains a major regional destination, industry observers note that sales revenue flows primarily to individual retailers, with the mall relying on lease payments and related income.

Longtime visitors say Destiny USA has changed significantly over the years but remains an important community destination. Pyramid Management Group has not publicly commented on the mall’s financial condition or long-term plans.
