Bath woman charged with DWI after police receive reports of drunk driver

Multiple reports of intoxicated individuals at a Bath residence led to the arrest of a local woman on driving while intoxicated charges, according to the Village of Bath Police Department.

Allison Redden, 35, of Bath, was arrested May 24 after officers responded to several calls involving intoxicated subjects at a residence on West Washington Street. During the final call, dispatchers advised patrol officers to watch for a vehicle reportedly being driven by an intoxicated woman.

Officers located the vehicle as it attempted to leave a public parking area associated with the residence and an adjoining church property. Police identified the driver as Redden and conducted a field sobriety investigation.

Authorities said the investigation determined Redden was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher, both misdemeanors.

Redden was processed and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
