Interlaken police say a Newfield man faces multiple felony charges after an investigation into stolen credit cards allegedly used throughout the village late last year.
The Interlaken Police Department announced the arrest of Robert J. Porter on May 22 on two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, two counts of third-degree identity theft, and one count of attempted third-degree identity theft.
According to police, the charges stem from an incident in December 2025 in which Porter allegedly stole credit cards from multiple victims in the village of Interlaken and later used those cards at various locations throughout the community.
Authorities did not release additional details about the alleged thefts or specify where the cards were reportedly used.
The investigation remains ongoing.
