Airy Acres Vineyard to launch summer music series with June 6 event

Airy Acres Vineyard will kick off its summer season June 6 with a day-long event featuring live music, local vendors, food trucks and wine tastings at the vineyard’s historic family farmhouse.

The event, scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., marks the start of the vineyard’s weekly summer music series, which will run every Saturday from June through September.

Folk musician Jeremiah Craig will headline the kickoff event while guests browse products from several local vendors, including RoRo Soap Company, Colt Pell Pork and artist Pat Fratangelo.

JJ’s Dogs and More will also be on-site serving hot dogs, sliders, fries and other food items.

In addition to Airy Acres’ regular tasting room offerings, the event will feature pop-up tastings from Little Clover Wine Company, Sylvan Farm & Cidery and Ball Vineyards.

The vineyard said visitors will also have an opportunity to sample several newly released wines, including a barrel-fermented Chardonnay, skin-fermented Rkatsiteli and Saperavi Rosé.

Airy Acres officials said the event will also serve as the debut for the vineyard’s new outdoor bandstand.

The vineyard’s tasting room will remain open throughout the event with tastings, glasses, bottles and gluten-free snacks available for purchase.
