A tractor-trailer carrying plate glass overturned early Friday morning in Ontario County, shutting down a stretch of State Route 14A for several hours.
The crash happened in the Town of Seneca, where emergency crews responded to a report of the rollover just after 7:20 a.m.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the intersection of State Route 14A and Lake to Lake Road at 7:24 a.m. for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer.
Authorities said the driver, identified as 53-year-old Philip A. Ashi of Houston, Texas, was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve. The truck and trailer overturned and slid into a ditch along the northern shoulder of the roadway, causing damage to both the vehicle and its cargo.
Ashi was treated at the scene for minor arm injuries by EMS personnel.
The roadway was closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and spilled cargo. It was reopened around noon following towing and cleanup operations.
Stanley Fire Department and Stanley Ambulance responded to the scene. The vehicle was removed by Howie’s Auto.
The incident remains under investigation.
