PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Fancy and Ella from the Shelter of Hope

Looking to add a new companion to your home?

Each week, FingerLakes1.com is partnering with the Humane Society of Yates County to highlight local animals in need of a loving home. This week’s featured pets bring plenty of personality — whether you’re looking for a laid-back feline with flair or an energetic, loyal dog ready for her second chance!

Miss Fancy

Here’s what they say about her

Her name is Fancy, and it fits her perfectly. This little lady is all about the finer things in life — a cozy bed, peace and quiet (unless she’s doing the talking), and plenty of personal space.

Fancy would do best in a home where she can truly settle in and be the center of attention, ideally as the only cat. While her feelings about dogs are still unknown, a calm dog that respects her space could be a good match, especially if she has a quiet place to retreat.

If you’re looking for a cat with elegance, a little attitude, and a lot of personality, Miss Fancy might be the perfect fit.

Miss Ella

Here’s what they say about her

Meet the incomparably lovely Miss Ella. She’s a 7.5-year-old spayed female pit bull mix with lots of love to give. Ella is playful, energetic, and incredibly sweet. She enjoys walks, car rides, toys of all kinds, and learning new things.

Ella would do best as the only animal in the home, where she can be the center of attention. She’s also best suited for an adult-only household.

Through no fault of her own, this is Ella’s second chance at a forever home. If you think she could be the one for you, you can fill out an adopter survey through the Humane Society of Yates County.

For more information or to meet these pets, visit the Humane Society of Yates County in Penn Yan or head to their website to begin the adoption process.
