New York’s top trucking technicians gathered in Weedsport Monday for a statewide competition testing their skills maintaining and repairing heavy trucks.
The Trucking Association of New York and its Safety Council hosted the New York State SuperTech Competition at Page Trucking on Trombley Road.
Technicians from across the state completed a six-station skills course designed to test diagnostic and repair abilities. Competitors were ranked based on both their performance and the time required to complete each station.
Participants also took part in a training session focused on electrical diagnostics and received a certificate of completion.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony at Prison City Brewing, where organizers named the highest-ranked competitor the top technician in New York.
