Truck technicians from across New York will gather in Cayuga County next week to test their skills in a statewide competition.
The Trucking Association of New York will host the New York State SuperTech Competition on March 9 at Page Trucking in Weedsport.
Competitors will complete a six-station skills course designed to test their technical knowledge and speed repairing and diagnosing truck systems.
Technicians will also take part in a training session focused on electrical diagnostics and receive a certificate of completion.
Organizers say the event highlights the work technicians do to keep commercial trucks operating safely across the state.
The competition will conclude with an awards ceremony later that evening, where the top-ranked participant will be named New York’s top truck technician.
