Geneva Winterfest wraps with ice, carnival

Ice sculptures will light up downtown Geneva as Winterfest heads into its final weekend, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The multiweek celebration, led by Mayor Jim Cecere and the Geneva Business Improvement District, has packed February with music, dining, skating and family events.

The illuminated ice sculpture trail debuts Friday night and will wind through downtown as weather allows. Saturday’s free Winterfest Carnival runs noon to 3 p.m. on Linden Street, featuring carriage rides, a petting zoo, games, food and the YMCA’s “Icehole Tournament.”

Winterfest Restaurant Weeks continue through Sunday, with local eateries offering specials and prix fixe menus. Organizers will also raffle prizes for participants in the festival’s virtual passport program.
