Reliant Credit Union backs Geneva 2030

A $1,250 donation is helping fuel programs that guide Geneva students from early childhood through career planning.

Reliant Credit Union presented the check to Geneva 2030 during a visit to the organization’s headquarters on Thursday, February 5. The donation highlights Reliant’s ongoing involvement in local education and youth initiatives.

Geneva 2030 focuses on improving outcomes for children and families in Geneva “from cradle to career.” The group brings together schools, nonprofits, families, and community partners to create measurable results for students.

Reliant doesn’t just write checks. Credit union representatives regularly attend community meetings and student events hosted by Geneva 2030. The credit union also supports College and Career Chats for students in grades 9–12.

“When communities come together around students, real change happens,” said Pamela Heald, Reliant’s President & CEO. “Geneva 2030 is doing important work to open doors for young people, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting their journey.”

The funding will support tutoring, summer programs, community partnerships, and student success initiatives across Geneva.

“Reliant Credit Union’s support directly strengthens our College and Career Center collaboration, a place where students can ask real questions, explore possibilities, and take next steps toward their futures,” said Heather Mills, Director of Geneva 2030. “This investment helps ensure that every student in Geneva, regardless of background, has access to guidance, information, and opportunity.”

Reliant Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution with more than $742 million in assets and over 48,000 members. The credit union has served the community since 1970 and operates branches across Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties.
