After more than four years of delays, Newark’s first legal cannabis dispensary is finally ready to open, according to WayneTimes.com.
Haze & Harvest will open Feb. 21 at 6772 Route 31 near Walmart, marking a major milestone since New York legalized cannabis in 2021. Owner Lucas Dobbins says he aims to create a safe, educational space that helps reduce stigma, with an emphasis on tested, regulated products.
The shop plans to feature more than 100 vendors, many local, and expects to hire about 12 employees to start. Dobbins says support from the community, local leaders, and law enforcement helped push the long process across the finish line. Haze & Harvest will join a growing list of legal dispensaries across Wayne County.
