Investigators said the driver failed to negotiate a turn while traveling eastbound and struck a tree head-on. The crash injured one of the passengers.

Deputies later identified the driver as David A. Perry, 63, of Dundee. Two passengers were also in the vehicle, including Darcey L. Perry, 45, of Dundee, and Ashton T. Steele, 15, of Dundee.

Steele was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital with right hip pain. Deputies described the injury as non-life-threatening.

Deputies T. Lane and N. Fultz handled the investigation. No charges were listed in the incident report.
