Wegmans scored 78, down 6% from last year, with shoppers citing weaker in-store experiences like layout, staff courtesy, and checkout speed. The survey analyzed more than 31,000 customer responses nationwide.

Trader Joe’s claimed the top spot with a score of 86, followed by Publix and H-E-B. Wegmans had frequently ranked in the top tier in past years, including a No. 1 finish in 2016.
