A courtroom showdown now has a date after investigators accused a school administrator of crossing the line with a student, according to 13WHAM. Prosecutors plan to bring the case to trial July 28 in Geneva Town Court.
The charges stem from a November incident at Geneva High School involving former assistant principal James Nuñez. Police say he made unwanted physical contact with a student in a hallway.
The Geneva City School District placed him on administrative leave once concerns surfaced, then accepted his resignation. He pleaded not guilty in December, and a judge issued a no-contact order. Police say investigators believe the incident was isolated.
