Police arrested a Penn Yan man following a domestic disturbance involving an unlawful apartment entry.
Officers charged Jedediah C. Collette, 23, with second-degree criminal trespass and endangering the welfare of a child after responding early Jan. 10.
Police said Collette entered another resident’s apartment through a window during the night after being told to stay away. A child under 17 was inside the apartment at the time.
Officers located Collette nearby, where he admitted entering through the window. He was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment and the issuance of an order of protection.
