A late-night traffic stop in the Town of Palmyra led to the arrest of a City of Geneva man on multiple charges.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle around 2:33 a.m. after the driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign on Galloway Road.
Deputies identified the driver as Neudy B. Garcia, 54, of Pulteney Street in Geneva. Investigators said further checks showed Garcia was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Deputies arrested Garcia on charges including driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating without an interlock device, unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.
After his arrest, deputies transported Garcia to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test, which showed a blood alcohol content of .13%.
Deputies held Garcia for CAP court at 7 a.m. on January 10. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Palmyra Court at a later date to answer the charges.
