BetPARX’s New Jersey Footprint and What 2026 Could Mean for New York iGaming

The states of New York and New Jersey have always been intertwined, being geographical neighbours and sharing so many social and political similarities. Part of this is how they have relied on each other for entertainment, and the iGaming sector has been no different. Both New Jersey and New York have regulated markets that could undergo significant changes in 2026.

BetPARX Local Ethos

BetPARX could be seen as somewhat of an anomaly in the world of online betting. As many huge corporations vie for space in America’s competitive market, this is one that has had a local footprint for some time. Backed by Parx Casino in Bensalem, it is a local name that has thrived amidst global competition.

Its betting app was relaunched in 2022 and was done in partnership with veteran developers Playtech. Even from the outset, the partnership was keen to point out that it had made the sign-up, deposit, and cash-out processes as simple as any found elsewhere in the industry. They also added that they had tried to concentrate on user experience.

In this short time, it has managed to grow by employing a range of different tactics. The online sign-up offers from betPARX have played a large part in this, not just in growing their own customer base but also in attracting people to the sector as a whole. These have included both free bets and matched deposits. Having a fully regulated sector also means that players have been able to use it with confidence, knowing their details and financials are safe, along with fair and transparent odds.

New York iGaming in 2026

New York is the most lucrative state for sports betting in the United States. In just 11 months last year, it raced past its previous year’s total revenue, showing unprecedented growth. This came from its eight operators, who have been working in the state since 2022.

Retail sports betting can be found at the physical casinos in New York, and plans are afoot to add three more of these in the coming year. The sites have already been chosen in the Bronx, Metropolitan Park, and New York City. However, this has not been without controversy. The latter two are situated in Queens, which has raised questions about competition. Several of the other applicants voluntarily withdrew due to the complexities involved.

New York taxes gambling operators working online at 51%. This is the highest rate in the US, and last year, it managed to generate $1.19 billion in taxable revenue. Yet this has not put operators off, and it is expected that a possible third licensed online operator may be added before the end of the year.

All of this signifies increased competition for providers. Yet it will also bring more choice for consumers, and could also result in better offers due to the competitive market provided. Both New York and New Jersey have had record years for sports betting and iGaming. With many major events taking place in 2026, such as the FIFA World Cup on home soil, this could increase once more.
