Deputies arrested a man after a traffic stop tied to a theft at a Sodus grocery store.
Joe C. Carter, 35, of Catharine Street in the Town of Lyons, took a phone charger from Paton’s Market Place and left without paying, deputies said.
Investigators said Carter left the store in a vehicle that deputies later stopped on State Route 14 in the Town of Lyons. Deputies arrested him on one count of petit larceny.
Carter received an appearance ticket and will appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
