Rochester Regional urges masks amid flu surge

With flu cases rising fast, Rochester Regional Health is now “highly encouraging” masking in all clinical spaces, according to Spectrum News 1.

The advisory applies to hospitals, urgent care, doctor’s offices, labs, and long-term care facilities. The move comes as more patients need isolation and illness hits care teams. Free masks will be available at all locations.

RRH says the goal is protecting medically vulnerable patients during a challenging season.
