Philadelphia woman arrested for welfare fraud in Cayuga County

Deputies took a woman into custody after she turned herself in on a welfare fraud warrant in Cayuga County.

Ricketta C. Taylor, 28, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, surrendered at the Public Safety Building on December 9. Deputies arrested her on a warrant issued out of Auburn City Court, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office .


Sheriff Brian Schenck said deputies processed Taylor at the Cayuga County Jail, where she appeared in centralized arraignment court. The court released her on her own recognizance .

Investigators from the Cayuga County Department of Social Services Case Integrity Unit, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, and the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office worked the case .
