New York State Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after striking a UPS employee along Route 365 in the town of Verona on Friday afternoon.
Troopers say the hit-and-run happened around 12:47 p.m. on Dec. 12, when the delivery worker was standing in front of a UPS truck on the west shoulder of Route 365. An unidentified southbound vehicle struck the worker, causing non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders transported the injured UPS employee to Wynn Hospital for treatment.
Police say the vehicle involved did not stop after the collision and left the area. The crash occurred near DG Market. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is gray or metallic in color, but no further description has been released.
State Police are asking anyone who was traveling on Route 365 around the time of the incident, or who may have seen a damaged vehicle matching the description, to come forward.
