Bradford schools shut down merger talks with Watkins Glen, according to Watkins Superintendent Kai D’Alleva. He said Bradford chose to pursue other districts instead and ruled out Watkins entirely.
D’Alleva said Bradford also spoke with Dundee and Campbell-Savona. A Dundee official confirmed Bradford also declined its proposal, leaving Bradford’s next move unclear.
Boards from Watkins Glen and Bradford met Oct. 14 in Bradford’s cafeteria to explore what a partnership might look like. Those talks didn’t lead to formal negotiations, and the consolidation effort ended there.
