Police in Bath arrested a man earlier this month after a late-night fight that left one person injured and property damaged.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. on December 5 to a report of a disturbance on Evergreen Street. When they arrived, multiple people were actively fighting and had to be separated, according to the Village of Bath Police Department.
Investigators say David Lauer, 33, of Bath, struck another person in the face, causing physical injury. He also reportedly damaged property belonging to the victim.
Lauer was charged with assault in the third degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree — both class A misdemeanors. He was processed and taken to Steuben County Jail for arraignment, then released.
