Campbell man arrested for rape and child endangerment

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports the arrest of a Campbell man following an investigation into a reported sex abuse case.

On December 3, 2025, investigators and deputies from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Randy B. Johnson, 37, of Main Street, Campbell. Authorities allege that Johnson engaged in sexual contact with a person under the age of 17 and acted in a manner injurious to the welfare of that child.


Johnson has been charged with rape in the third degree, a class E felony, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released. The investigation remains ongoing through the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
