Law enforcement is investigating after a window was found broken at the Washington, D.C. residence of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney early Thursday morning.
No injuries were reported. Authorities, along with the U.S. Capitol Police, are still working to determine the motive behind the incident.
In a statement, Tenney called the attack “disturbing and unacceptable,” adding that she’s thankful no one inside the home was hurt. She also thanked law enforcement for their quick response.
“Violence, intimidation, and attacks against public officials or their families have no place in our society,” Tenney said. “I will not be deterred from doing my job on behalf of the people of New York.”
The investigation remains active.
