Wreaths Across America will return Dec. 13 with ceremonies at the NYS Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes and three other area cemeteries, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Sixty-five wreaths will be placed in Canandaigua’s Academy and Hunn cemeteries, both rich with veterans’ graves from wars dating back to the Revolution. Locals can sponsor wreaths online to honor a veteran’s final resting place.
The event also includes ceremonies in Middlesex, with each site highlighting deep local history and community ties to military service.
