BILLS GAME DAY: Buffalo returns home to face Tampa Bay (preview)

The Buffalo Bills return to Highmark Stadium today for a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s the first time this season Buffalo has played back-to-back early games, as both teams enter Week 11 with matching 6-3 records. The Bills are looking to bounce back after getting blown out by the Miami Dolphins last week, while the Buccaneers come to Orchard Park following a loss to the New England Patriots.

The two franchises have met just 13 times, with Tampa Bay holding an 8-5 all-time edge. However, Buffalo won the most recent meeting in 2023, defeating the Bucs 24-18 behind three total touchdowns from Josh Allen.

This matchup features a showdown between quarterbacks Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield, both first-round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Allen, selected seventh overall, has become one of the league’s most reliable dual-threat quarterbacks, leading Buffalo to five consecutive AFC East titles and recording at least 40 total touchdowns in each of the last five seasons. Mayfield, taken first overall, has rejuvenated his career in Tampa Bay following earlier stops in Cleveland, Carolina, and Los Angeles. The two signal-callers have met twice before, splitting those games evenly.
