Canandaigua assault leads to charges and property damage

A man was arrested after police responded to a domestic disturbance in Canandaigua that ended with injuries and property damage.

Robert M. Doyle, 42, was taken into custody on Nov. 6 and charged with two counts of criminal mischief and one count of assault — all misdemeanors or felonies depending on the damage or injury involved.

Police say Doyle assaulted a city resident during the domestic incident, then caused further property damage involving a third party. Officers processed him without incident and transported him to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

Because Doyle is a predicate felon, a judge ordered him held at the jail.
