Hockey fans in Syracuse have a new reason to cheer — and it comes in a can.
War Horse Brewing Company and the Syracuse Crunch have joined forces to release a limited-edition craft beer just in time for the 2025–26 season.
The new brew, a New England Style IPA called War Horse Crunch, brings together the bold flavor of Finger Lakes brewing with the energy of Crunch hockey. It will be available at the Upstate Medical University Arena during home games, and in cans at Syracuse-area Wegmans stores.
“Hockey and a great craft beer go hand-in-hand,” said Katharine Warner, marketing director at Three Brothers Wineries & Estates, the home of War Horse Brewing. “We’re proud to bring a premium, local beer to Crunch fans.”
Crunch COO Jim Sarosy said the team is always looking for ways to elevate the fan experience. “We know our fan base loves a high-quality, local beer,” he said. “This is going to be the flavor of the season.”
