Police arrested a man after a car flipped and trapped him inside on Black Brook Road.
Officers say Shawn M. Bell was behind the wheel and under the influence of alcohol when the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 19.
First responders from the Seneca Falls Police Department, North Seneca Ambulance, and the Seneca Falls Fire Department arrived to find Bell trapped in the overturned vehicle. Crews were able to free him quickly.
Bell had several non-life-threatening injuries but refused medical transport, according to police. Investigators later determined that he was intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, and failure to maintain his lane. Bell was processed at the police department and released with a court appearance ticket.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Geneva General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
