Ithaca Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital early Friday morning.
Officers were called around 2:14 a.m. on November 1 to the 300 block of West State Street, where they found a victim with a gunshot wound. The person was taken to a regional trauma center and is expected to survive.
According to investigators, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Police believe the shooting was targeted and not a random act of violence.
The investigation remains active, and police are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
