An Auburn man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for violently assaulting his 91-year-old female relative, according to The Citizen.
Steven J. Walsh received the maximum sentence Thursday in Cayuga County Court. A jury found him guilty after a two-day trial for attacking the elderly woman not once, but twice.
Prosecutors described the assault as severe and called the sentence a reflection of the crime’s brutality.
