An Auburn man was arrested over the weekend after police say they found crack cocaine, cash, and drug packaging materials during a traffic stop on Perrine Street.
Brandon Tape was taken into custody on October 26 by members of the Auburn Police Department’s GIVE Unit, working alongside the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department and NYS Probation Department.
Officers say Tape was behind the wheel of a vehicle pulled over as part of a GIVE detail. During the stop, investigators say they found:
- A quantity of crack cocaine
- A digital scale
- U.S. currency
- Paraphernalia consistent with drug packaging
Tape was charged with:
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree (felony)
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree (misdemeanor)
Following processing at Auburn Police Headquarters, Tape was transported to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
