Lakeshore Drive bridge to close temporarily on October 30

Drivers in Canandaigua should prepare for a one-day bridge closure later this week.

The City of Canandaigua’s Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced that the Lakeshore Drive Bridge will be closed Thursday, October 30, for a warranted repair project. The closure is necessary to complete work before winter weather sets in.

The bridge will close in the morning and is expected to reopen by the end of the day, depending on weather conditions. Crews will be performing essential repairs as part of a scheduled maintenance plan.

Drivers are urged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure. Signs will be posted near the intersection of Muar Street and Lakeshore Drive, and detours will be in place.

The DPW apologized for the inconvenience and is encouraging residents with questions or concerns to call 585-396-5060.
