Ontario County leaders will present a draft of their new solid waste management plan during a public meeting on October 23.
The presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Ontario County Board of Supervisors meeting, located at 74 Ontario Street in Canandaigua.
The updated draft outlines the county’s long-term goals for managing solid waste and promoting sustainability. After the meeting, the plan will be open for public review and comment for 45 days — from October 24 through December 7.
Residents can view the draft and provide feedback by visiting bit.ly/OCLSWMP or by scanning the QR code found on official county materials.
County officials are encouraging the public to get involved and share their thoughts, stressing that “your voice matters” in shaping local environmental policy.
The plan is being developed by the Ontario County Department of Sustainability and Solid Waste Management.
