Motorcyclist critically injured in Clay crash

A high-speed motorcycle crash left a Liverpool man in critical condition Friday afternoon after a collision on Oswego Road in Clay.

State Police say 30-year-old Michael J. Rubino was riding a 2018 Kawasaki southbound when he struck a BMW turning onto the road from a car wash parking lot.

Troopers say the crash happened around 2:54 p.m., when the BMW, driven by 79-year-old Thomas A. Aloi of Baldwinsville, was making a left turn onto Oswego Road near Rosewood Place. Rubino’s motorcycle hit the rear driver’s side of the BMW.

Rubino was rushed to Upstate University Hospital with serious injuries. He remains in critical condition. Aloi was not hurt.

State Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
